The location was ok for sightseeing (2 mins away form the Confucius Temple) and walking distance from the station (ca 30 min). The famous shaved ice shop is just around the corner. A big shopping mall (with many food options) 20 mins away. Bathroom was very nice: clean, spacious, good water pressure and with a shower curtain :)

We wanted to extend a stay by one night but the price almost tripled (weekend prices are crazy) but seems a pattern in Taiwan. Breakfast was good but make sure to be downstairs early.

Comfy and pleasant

The location is almost perfect. Right located next to the historical Confucius Temple complex and the Taiwan literature museum. The museum of modern art and the classical Hayashi department store are also in walking distance. Decent cafe and iconic street foods are just around the corner while traffic to other historical sites and the central station is quite convenient. The room is modest but it is tidy and cozy. There is barely any noise at night though the building is at a huge crossroad. The staffs are friendly and helping, which is definitely another plus.

Happy and satisfy.

Happy and satisfy. Only food outlet around the location is limited. The THSR bus stop is just around the corner easy to take a bus to the train station to Taipei and Kaohsiung

The staff are friendly and helpful with calling for taxi and giving recommendations n direction for places of interest.

The lift is not on the same level as the lobby and we need to carry our luggage up a flight of steps to the lift. The air conditioner is quite noisy.

Good value, great local, good breakfast.

The breakfast was awesome! There was Asian style with congee, pickled and fresh veggies. For Western style, there was scrambled eggs, hot food and toast. Bonus for Kaya coconut spread! The room was very clean and amazing shower pressure.

It was cold at night and the AC had no heat or warm air feature. It was unseasonably cold while we were there, and no heat.

It is a nice, clean hotel in a covenient spot.

It is a nice, clean hotel in a covenient spot. Guest can use the free bikes to explore the town and enjoy a good breakfast. The coffee is surprisingly good.

I do not recommend it.

Double bed room was listed with 40 square meters, but it was a lie. The person in charge of the hotel explained that there were only 25 square meters of rooms.

What was the highlight of Cambridge Confucius Inn

The property was located at a convenient place.

The property was located at a convenient place. It was easy to catch the number 2 bus to get to other places such as An Ping. Staff was friendly. We had an issue with switching our tv to HDMI so we could play on our switch at night. The staff member brought us a new remote control right away. I also requested for an extra blanket as my sibling and I can’t share one blanket. The blanket was in the room when we got there. The facility is also very clean. The shower was very strong and heated up quickly. I read someone’s complaint that there weren’t enough outlets but in a 3 person room, we had about 8 outlets to use (not including bathroom). Breakfast area was very clean. Staff members constantly refilled missing items. It was definitely worth the price for our stay. I would recommend this place to friends and family.

The property is located next to a main road. Therefore, if you aren’t able to sleep very well with noises, I would ask them to try and put you on a higher floor or facing away from the main roads (not sure if they have those type of room). We were on the 5th floor and my sis and I didn’t sleep too well because we kept hearing cars speed by late at night. As other reviews have mentioned, the elevator is also slightly small & you need to take maybe 5-6 steps up to the elevator, so this wouldn’t be suitable for someone who is in a wheelchair. Also, the lobby does not have much space to sit around and chill. It didn’t matter much to us but I know some people like to have a seating area (instead, the lobby was shared with a store).
